Top Rack Technology, a Moorestown, New Jersey, maker of solar racking, plans to roll out six new residential rooftop mounting products at the RE+ 2026 trade show in Las Vegas later this month. The lineup includes new brackets, a rail fastener, a full-coverage skirt and a roof-penetration seal that comes with butyl already applied (via EIN Presswire).
RE+ moves to the Las Vegas Convention Center this year. According to the show's organizers, conference programming starts Monday, Nov. 16, and the exhibit floor opens Tuesday, Nov. 17, with more than 1,300 exhibitors expected. Top Rack says it will be in Central Hall at booth C4527 from Nov. 17 to 19.
The company's announcement, distributed through EIN Presswire, lists the six products with short descriptions and no pricing, load ratings or certification details. Here's what it says each one does:
Full-Coverage Skirt System: a skirt meant to hide the exposed edges of a residential array for a more finished look from the street.
TRT-G2 bracket: described as a simpler, lower-cost bracket intended to cut installation steps.
TRT ButyLok: a shoe-style part with gel-like butyl sealant applied at the factory. When it's paired with the G2, the bracket squeezes the butyl across the sealing surface, which the company says is meant to give more consistent coverage at each roof penetration.
TRT SAVRIX: a new residential attachment bracket. The release doesn't describe its features.
TRT RF-2 rail fastener: designed to make the rail-to-bracket connection simpler.
TRT FreePivot bracket: a rail fastener that rotates 360 degrees so rails can line up even when the brackets underneath aren't perfectly straight. It has built-in height adjustment for uneven roofs, installs in one orientation regardless of rail or panel direction, is all metal, and is set with a single socket.
The new parts join Top Rack's existing residential systems. On its website the company lists the TRT01 rail-less base system and TRT02 rail-based system for composition shingle roofs, the TRT03 tile hook system, mini rail and rail-less clamp systems for metal roofs, and an adjustable flat-roof system. It also offers an online design tool that handles layout, structural inputs and a bill of materials.
In a February 2025 announcement, Top Rack said its TRT-01, TRT-02 and TRT-03 rooftop systems had earned UL 2703 and CSA TIL A-40 certification through Intertek, including Class A/B fire ratings. The new release doesn't say whether the six new products carry those listings yet.
Some of the existing hardware is already sold through distributors. Signature Solar, for example, lists Top Rack rails, rail-less bases, clamps, grounding lugs and skirt components, with rail-less bases priced under $9 each at the time of writing. The new products didn't appear in that catalog.
Why it matters for Contractors
For small solar installers and the roofers who work alongside them, the most interesting piece here is ButyLok. Every attachment through the roof is a potential leak, and a foot with butyl applied at the factory could mean fewer steps on the roof and less variation from one installer to the next. That's the company's pitch, though, and we couldn't find independent test data on it yet. Before you put it on a customer's roof, ask for the installation manual, the UL 2703 listing that covers it, and whether the shingle manufacturer's warranty language allows it.
FreePivot's 360-degree swivel and built-in height adjustment are aimed at a familiar headache: brackets that land off-line because of rafter spacing or a wavy roof deck. If it works as described, it could save time on older homes. The RE+ show floor is the place to get hands on these parts and ask about pricing, availability and listings before switching from a racking brand your crews already know.
