About Hello Contractor News

Hello Contractor News is a headline page for residential contractors and subcontractors. It links to the week’s news, government notices, and trade data that matter to people who build and remodel homes, and sends you straight to the original source.

Most headlines go to other publications. When our own staff write something, it’s marked Original.

The weekly newsletter

The site is fed by the Hello Contractor newsletter, which goes out every Thursday. Each issue’s links appear here the moment the email lands. Subscribe to the newsletter.

To show a thumbnail next to some headlines, we fetch the linked page once and read its preview image. Those requests identify themselves as HelloContractorNewsBot/1.0 and point back to this page.
