Nevada Construction News

Nevada is really two construction markets. In the south, the Las Vegas Valley builds through extreme summer heat, with resort, convention, residential and infrastructure work closely tied to tourism. In the north, Reno, Sparks and the industrial parks to the east have drawn manufacturing, logistics and data center projects, along with the housing and roads that follow. Water supply, seismic activity in the northern and western parts of the state, and the large share of land under federal ownership all affect where and how projects get built. The Nevada State Contractors Board licenses contractors statewide. In fast-growing parts of the state, master-planned communities and the schools, utilities and roads that serve them make up a large share of the work.
