JobNimbus Puts Homeowner Financing Right on the Roofing Estimate

JobNimbus now lets roofers offer Wisetack homeowner financing on the estimate itself, with a 3.9% merchant fee and payouts in one to three business days.

Roofing contractors who run their shops on JobNimbus can now show homeowners monthly payment options on the estimate itself, without sending anyone to a separate lender site. The software company announced Oct. 22 that JobNimbus Financing is generally available to U.S. residential roofing and exterior contractors on current versions of the platform (via JobNimbus).

The pitch is simple: a lot of good estimates die on price, and a $14,000 roof feels different when it's framed as a monthly payment. JobNimbus says reps can add payment options to an estimate, the homeowner can look them over and apply on the spot, and the decision and loan status land on the job record where the office can see them.

The lending runs through Wisetack, a pay-over-time platform for home services. That relationship isn't new. Wisetack and JobNimbus first announced a partnership back in August 2023, when contractors could text a financing application to a customer at any point in the sale. What changes now is how deep it goes: financing is built into the estimate, the job and the payment steps, rather than sitting off to the side. JobNimbus says Wisetack is the first of several financing integrations it plans to add.

On cost, JobNimbus says there's no setup fee, subscription or per-transaction charge on its end. The company's financing FAQ lists a 3.9% merchant fee from Wisetack, taken out when the loan pays out to the contractor. That's worth running through your margins before you start pushing it on every job.

The FAQ also spells out the loan side. Homeowners can finance jobs up to $65,000, depending on the contractor's approval level and the customer's credit. Terms run from 3 to 120 months, and APRs range from 0% to 35.9%, based on the amount and the borrower's credit. Not every program offers 0%, and state rate caps can apply. Homeowners can prequalify through a soft credit pull that doesn't affect their score.

Getting paid works like this, according to JobNimbus: once the job is finished, the homeowner confirms it by text, and the ACH transfer starts the next business day, usually landing in one to three business days. For eligible accounts, a loan between $1,000 and $25,000 can be split into two payouts, with up to half released when the job starts and the rest at completion.

To sign up, a contractor completes a one-time business application through Wisetack. JobNimbus says that requires a federal EIN, basic information on anyone who owns 25% or more of the business, and bank verification, with no personal credit check on the business. Once approved, financing shows up on every estimate. Multi-location owners can set it up the same way across branches and see financing activity by branch and by rep.

"When financing lives inside JobNimbus, everything moves faster," said Todd Furness, JobNimbus's vice president of fintech. Bobby Tzekin, Wisetack's CEO and co-founder, said the integration puts financing inside the workflow contractors already use.

Why it matters for Contractors

If you already use JobNimbus, this costs nothing to turn on, but it isn't free to use. That 3.9% comes out of your payout, so on a $15,000 roof you're giving up about $585. Some shops build that into their pricing; others only offer financing when it's the difference between closing and walking away. Decide which camp you're in before your reps start mentioning it.

The bigger win for a small crew may be cash flow. Getting paid within a few business days of the homeowner signing off, plus the option to pull up to half at the start on mid-size jobs, can take pressure off when you're fronting materials.

A couple of cautions. Rates can run as high as 35.9%, so make sure your reps are presenting options honestly, not overselling the low monthly number. And if you work outside roofing, note that the launch is aimed at residential roofing and exterior contractors.
